Product Management will be dead by 2027. Here's what's replacing it.
Controversial? Yes. But hear me out.
5. AI is eating the 40 % work of Product managers. AI is helping automate tasks such as competition analysis and market research.
4. The Product Manager role is changing from a general PM role to an AI Product Manager role. In the US, companies are shifting more toward AI, and most Product Management job descriptions now include an AI component.
3. Product managers have to become specialists in one role, where Product managers can become experts in the Fintech domain or the AI domain, which will help Product managers to raise their salaries from 25 LPA to 50 LPA.
2. Every Product manager has to learn about Agent-to-agent protocols, Hugging Face, Langchain, etc. These things will help you to understand how AI Product development really happens.
1. Yesterday I was talking pto a product manager from London he mentioned these things that the future belongs to those people who will build the products as well as manage the stakeholders.

AI isn’t replacing PMs, it’s compressing low-leverage work. The PM advantage now comes from domain depth, problem framing, and outcome ownership. Tools will automate research, but judgment, prioritization, and building the right thing will stay human.
